Abbas Araghchi further stated that Pakistan’s role in promoting peace and stability in the region and facilitating the ceasefire is highly appreciated.

Rawalpindi: Field Marshal Asim Munir received a telephone call from Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, during which the Iranian minister appreciated Pakistan’s effective role in bringing an end to the conflict in the region.
According to details, a statement issued by the Iranian Embassy in Pakistan said that Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi praised Pakistan’s constructive and responsible role.
The statement added that the Iranian foreign minister commended Pakistan’s continuous and effective efforts for ending the conflict.
Abbas Araghchi further stated that Pakistan’s role in promoting peace and stability in the region and facilitating the ceasefire is highly appreciated.
It is worth mentioning that due to the efforts of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Field Marshal Asim Munir, former U.S. President Donald Trump extended the deadline for a potential major strike on Iran by two weeks at Pakistan’s request.
Following this, Iran also agreed to Pakistan’s proposal for a temporary ceasefire. Iran’s Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei ordered all military units to halt operations after the ceasefire agreement, while clarifying that this is not the end of the war but a temporary pause.
In a statement issued through Iranian state media, it was said that all military branches have been instructed to immediately comply with the ceasefire order, while the country will remain on full alert.
