Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has emphasized on the importance of dialogue and diplomacy for the peace and stability in the region and beyond.
He was talking to Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi who called on him at the Prime Minister House in Islamabad today.
The meeting lasted around two hours.
Deputy Prime Minister Muhammad Ishaq Dar and Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defense Forces Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi and other senior officials were also present in the meeting.
Meanwhile, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, in a post on X, expressed pleasure on meeting Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi and his delegation in Islamabad.
The Prime Minister said we also discussed matters of mutual interest, including the further strengthening of Pakistan-Iran bilateral relations.
