‘COVID fourth wave’: Pakistan reports 3,711 new cases, 67 deaths
Islamabad: Pakistan is presently experiencing the fourth wave of coronavirus amid threat of highly contagious Indian delta variant.
According to National Command and Operations Center (NCOC), around 3,711 cases of coronavirus were reported while 67 people succumbed to the disease in the last 24 hours, taking the total death toll to 24,339.
The total number of confirmed cases reached to 1,094,699.
As many as 983,754 patients have recovered from the disease with 4,729 critical cases.
Punjab
The number of patients swelled to 370,599 in the province with 11,329 causalities.
Sindh
The number of infections has surged to 409,578 in the province, while the death toll has reached 6,384.
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa
The confirmed cases have surged to 151,466 in the province with 4,640 casualties.
Balochistan
There are 31,507 confirmed cases while 332 patients have died from the infection so far.
AJK and Gilgit-Baltistan
There are 28,982 coronavirus cases in the AJK while the death toll has reached 662. On the other hand, there are 9,228 cases in GB with 162 coronavirus deaths.
Islamabad
There are 93,339 cases in the capital city while 830 people have lost their lives.
