Islamabad: Pakistan announced on Wednesday a three-day public holiday to mark Eidul Azha.
As per a notification, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif declared May 26 to 28 as “public holidays on the occasion of Eid-ul-Azha”.
On May 17, a meeting of the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee was held in Karachi to sight the moon of Zilhajj, to determine the dates for Eid-ul-Azha in Pakistan.
The Zilhajj moon was sighted in Pakistan, with the committee announcing Eid on May 27.
