Commander of Bahrain National Guard meets Field Marshal, Air Chief and Naval Chief; agreement reached to enhance defence cooperation
Bahraini Commander praised the professionalism, operational readiness, and contributions of the Pakistan Forces towards peace and stability in the region:ISPR


Rawalpindi: The Commander of the Bahrain National Guard, His Highness General Sheikh Mohammed bin Isa bin Salman Al Khalifa, who is on an official visit to Pakistan, held separate meetings with Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, Chief of the Air Staff Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu, and Chief of the Naval Staff Admiral Naveed Ashraf at the General Headquarters (GHQ) in Rawalpindi. The meetings focused on defence cooperation, bilateral relations, and security-related matters between the two countries.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), during the meeting with Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, discussions were held on matters of mutual interest, the regional security situation, and various aspects of enhancing defence and security cooperation between Pakistan and Bahrain.
Both leaders expressed satisfaction over the long-standing fraternal relations between Pakistan and Bahrain and emphasized the need to further strengthen military cooperation.
Meeting with Air Chief
According to the spokesperson, during the meeting at the Air Headquarters, Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu highlighted the modernization of the Pakistan Air Force, enhancement of operational capabilities, infrastructure development, indigenous defence production, and reforms in advanced training.

The meeting also discussed matters related to drones, artificial intelligence, autonomous systems, advanced sensors, digital innovation, evolving challenges in air defence, and integrated defence systems.
Meeting with Naval Chief
In addition, the Bahrain National Guard Commander met Chief of the Naval Staff Admiral Naveed Ashraf at Naval Headquarters. The discussion focused on bilateral defence cooperation and the regional security situation..jpg)
The Bahraini Commander appreciated the Pakistan Navy’s effective role in promoting maritime security in the region and described it as a key guarantor of regional maritime stability.
According to ISPR During all meetings, the Bahraini Commander praised the professionalism, operational readiness, and contributions of the Pakistan Armed Forces towards peace and stability in the region. He also appreciated Pakistan’s defence modernization efforts and indigenous capabilities, expressing interest in further cooperation in training, modern technology, and capacity building.
