Lahore: Punjab Chief Minister (CM) Usman Bazdar met heroes of Tokyo Olympics and mountaineers who conquered world’s second highest peak K2.


According to details, Buzdar was met by athletes including Arshad Nadeem, Talha Talib, Coach Fayyaz Bukhari, climber Sajid Sadpara and Shehroze Kashif.
CM congratulated all athletes for their remarkable performances and said that where Arshad Nadeem and Talha Talib built a positive image of Pakistan, the mountaineers Sajid Sadpara and Shehroz Kashif have expressed their high determination by climbing the most dangerous peak K2 at such an early age.
Chief Minister Usman Bazdar handed over cheques of Rs. 20 lakh to Arshad Nadeem and Talha Talib while Rs. 10 lakh was given to Arshad Nadeem and Talha Talib by Sports Board Punjab and Rs. 10 lakh from Punjab Energy Department.
Sajid Sadpara, Shahrooz Kashif were awarded Rs 10 lakh each by Sports Board Punjab and coach Syed Fayyaz Bukhari was given a check of Rs 5 lakh.
