Chairman PM Youth Programme assures full support for Punjab University's Film Department.

Lahore: Chairman of the Prime Minister’s Youth Programme, Rana Mashhood Ahmad Khan, met with Dr. Lubna Zaheer, Chairperson of the Film & Broadcasting Department at the University of the Punjab, and discussed various ongoing academic, creative, and industry-oriented initiatives of the department.

During the meeting, Dr. Lubna Zaheer briefed the Chairman on various projects being undertaken by the department, including its feature film project aimed at providing students with hands-on professional experience and contributing to the growth of Pakistan’s film industry.

Chairman Rana Mashhood lauded the department’s role in producing skilled professionals for the media and entertainment sectors and acknowledged its contribution to strengthening Pakistan’s creative economy. He expressed appreciation for the department’s efforts in bridging academia and industry through practical training and innovative projects.

He assured full support from the Prime Minister’s Youth Programme and the Federal Government for initiatives that promote youth engagement, creativity, and professional development in the fields of film, media, and broadcasting.

Chairman Rana Mashhood also congratulated Dr. Lubna Zaheer on being conferred the prestigious Pride of Performance award, one of Pakistan’s highest civil honours, in recognition of her distinguished contributions.
