Death anniversary of radio-TV anchor Tariq Aziz observed today
Tariq Aziz was known for his work on the PTV's Quiz Show Neelam Ghar, which was first aired in 1974, and continued for decades under the titles of 'Tariq Aziz Show', and 'Bazm-e-Tariq Aziz'


Web Desk: Sixth death anniversary of iconic radio-television anchor Tariq Aziz is being observed today.
Tariq Aziz was born in Jalandhar on 28th April 1936.
He started his career with Radio Pakistan in 1960s as a host and became Pakistan's first male announcer and premier television host.
Tariq Aziz was known for his work on the PTV's Quiz Show Neelam Ghar, which was first aired in 1974, and continued for decades under the titles of 'Tariq Aziz Show', and 'Bazm-e-Tariq Aziz'.
He performed in a number of movies, including Chiragh Kahan Roshni Kahan, Salgirah, Qasam Us Waqt Ki, Katari, Haar Gaya Insan and Insaniyat.
He was awarded the Pride of Performance in 1994 for his services to the entertainment industry.
He passed away on this day in 2020 at the age of 84 in Lahore.
