Security forces kill alleged terrorist in South Waziristan; soldier martyred
South Wazirstan: An alleged terrorist was killed in a crossfire with soldiers deployed at a checkpost at Kanniguram in South Wazirstan, a news release issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said on Wednesday.


On midnight between Tuesday and Wednesday, the personnel deployed at the Pakistan Military's post observed movment of some suspects near-by and got engaged in 'confrontation'.
During an intense exchange of fire, one of the terrorists was killed. Responding to the terrorists' fire, Naib Subedar Sonay Zai, 42, of Darazinda, Dera Ismail Khan got critically injured and later embraced martyrdom.
Soldiers launched search of the area to eliminate any terrorists found, the militray's media wing further said in the release.
"Pakistan Army is determined to eliminate the menace of terrorism and such sacrifices of our brave soldiers further strengthen our resolve," the released concluded.
