The two sides discussed matters of mutual interest, regional security and bilateral defence cooperation


RAWALPINDI -- Pakistan and Kuwait have reaffirmed their resolve to further consolidate their historic and brotherly relations into a strong, enduring and mutually beneficial defence partnership.
The understanding was reached during a meeting between Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir and a high-level Kuwaiti delegation led by Minister of Defence Sheikh Abdullah Ali Abdullah Al-Saleem Al-Sabah at General Headquarters in Rawalpindi today.
Chief of General Staff of the Armed Forces of Kuwait Lieutenant General Khalid Darj Saad Al-Shriaan was also part of the delegation.
The two sides discussed matters of mutual interest, regional security and bilateral defence cooperation.
They expressed the commitment to enhancing institutional ties and expanding mutually beneficial defence collaboration between the two brotherly countries.
The Kuwaiti delegation appreciated the professionalism, operational excellence and valuable contributions of the Pakistan Armed Forces towards regional peace and stability.
The engagement also reaffirmed the shared resolve to strengthen defence cooperation in a manner that contributes to peace, security and stability in the region.
