I reviewed Valve’s Steam Frame, ask me anything
Hey! I’m Sean Hollister, you might have seen me around this place a few times, and I just spent three weeks beta-testing the Steam Frame, Valve’s hotly anticipated new don’t-call-it-a-VR-headset that might also be an early glimpse at the future of games that run everywhere. At 4PM ET today (that’s 1PM PT for West Coasters like me!), I will answer as many of your questions as humanly possible about this headset, its controllers, its ergonomic accessories kit, and the Arcturus Vision Camera in a subscriber-only AMA. If you want me to test something special for you, get your question in ASAP — I’ll see if I can try it between now and then! While you wait, here are some of the answers we’ve collected so far: * Price, release date, reservation process, accessories * My review * My video on what it’s like to be inside (also embedded at the bottom of this story soon) * Half-Life: Alyx reborn as a Steam Frame launch title I also figure some people might ask: “Did the Steam Frame really not leave a red ring on your face?” and I can answer that right now. I barely took it off during our lengthy photoshoot, and here’s what I looked like after: [Image: No red ring. https://platform.theverge.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/2/2026/09/268694_Steam_Frame_KMcClellan_0048.jpg?quality=90&strip=all] See you at 4PM ET!
