Pakistan committed to peaceful outcome of Iran-US conflict: DG ISPR

WEB DESK -- Director General ISPR Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry has said Pakistan is committed to a negotiated and a peaceful outcome of Iran-US conflict.

In an interview with CNN, he said Pakistan has been and will continue to do whatever possible and whatever necessary so that the differences and gaps narrow down and there is a negotiated and peaceful outcome of this conflict.

The DG ISPR said Pakistan wants that this conflict should not expand horizontally or vertically. He said Pakistan has been a very honest broker.  He said we have a stake in regional peace and stability.

Responding to a question, the DG ISPR said Pakistan's forces have been there in Saudi Arabia for decades with multiple capabilities and domains. He said Makkah Alliance is not something that has come out in vaccum, emphasizing there is a sustained diplomatic, political, military and people to people relationship between Pakistan, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Turkiye. He said Makkah Accord, its actualization and whatever effects it achieves that will be purely defensive.

The DG ISPR said all the three countries have potent military, diplomatic and other capabilities. He said the objective of this alliance is not to start labelling enemies and friends, stressing the objective is the defence of Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Harmain Sharifian and that will be done.
