People aged 65 and above can now register for COVID-19 vaccination: Asad Umar
Islamabad: Federal Minister for Planning and Development, Asad Umar has announced on Monday that people of age 65 and above can now register themselves for coronavirus vaccination.
The Federal minister turned to his official twitter handle wrote, "Pleased to announce that registration for getting COVID-19 vaccine is now open for all citizens 65 and above".
While describing the registration process, Minister said that one can write down their CNIC number and send a message on 1166.
“Just write down ur CNIC number and send message on 1166,” he explained
The minister further wrote that vaccination of those who will be registered will start in March.

According to National Command and Operations Center (NCOC), today around 1,048 cases of coronavirus were reported while 26 people succumbed to the disease in one taking the total death toll to 12,333.
The total number of confirmed cases reached to 564,077.
As many as 525,997 patients have recovered from the disease with 1,702 critical cases.
