Sunday fixed as ‘exclusive day’ for second COVID jab
Islamabad: The National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) has set Sunday as an exclusive day for administration of the second COVID-19 dose for partially vaccinated individuals.
The NCOC on Saturday announced that the partially vaccinated people can get their scheduled second jab without waiting for the message throughout the week from any vaccination center.

Meanwhile, Sindh government decided to begin COVID vaccination for grade 9 to 12 students across provincial schools and colleges from Monday (September 6).
The government has stepped up the nationwide vaccination campaign as the country battled a deadlier fourth wave of Covid pandemic, fuelled by the Indian-origin Delta variant of coronavirus.
Pakistan is presently experiencing the fourth wave of coronavirus which is said to be deadlier and more contagious than previous three waves.
According to NCOC, around 3,747 cases of coronavirus were reported while 61 people succumbed to the disease in the last 24 hours, taking the total death toll to 26,175.
The total number of cases has reached 1,179,305.
As many as 1,060,881 patients have recovered from the disease with 5,606 critical cases.
