Islamabad: Amid the ongoing Covid-19 situation, the government of Pakistan has decided to conduct matriculation and intermediate level examinations twice a year.


This was announced by Minister for Federal Education and Professional Training Shafqat Mehmood while talking about the important decisions taken in 32nd Inter Provincial Education Ministers Conference.
The Federal Minister said that the matriculation examinations will be held in May and June while intermediate exams in October and November.
“Next academic year would start from August 22. However, O and A level exams would be taken as per schedule,” he added.
The Education Minister also directed all universities across the country to open admissions twice a year to accommodate students during the pandemic.
