Regardless of being selected, PM should take care of people, says Maryam Nawaz
Islamabad: PML-N Vice President Maryam Nawaz Wednesday has appealed Prime Minister Imran Khan to meet the relatives of missing persons.

Although Prime Minister is selected but it is his duty to take care of the people, she said.
According to details, PML-N Vice President Maryam Nawaz reached D-Chowk, Islamabad to express solidarity with the families of the missing persons of Balochistan who have staged sit-in here.
On this occasion, Maryam Nawaz said that she has no words to express her feelings. The pain of people who wait for their loved ones every day cannot be felt. When a person dies, he is hard to forget but such missing persons’ families distress is indeed painful who don’t know either their loved ones are alive or dead.
"They are sitting under the open sky in Islamabad. I understand their feelings. People make big declarations but after coming to power, they forget their promises," she said. “Prime Minister's house is not far from here, If PM cannot come to meet these people, he should send his Ministers at least and even if ministers don’t have time for these people then they should at least stop giving statements on human rights. It is the duty of the ruler either selected or elected to give the address to loved ones to their families. I tell the Prime Minister that the. You have to answer to Allah Almighty.”
Lambasting the government, she said it is the responsibility of the state to protect the citizens, if someone has committed a crime, there is a legal way for it. The duty of the government is to improve the lives of people, even government servants are on the streets and there is no one to listen them. Instead to condoling, the Prime Minister says he cannot be blackmailed on corpses. It is better not to be in power if duties are not being performed, she added. “If open ballots issue can be taken to court then these cases can also be taken.”
The relatives of the missing persons were seen begging Maryam Nawaz for the return of their loved ones for decades.
They said that they have been sitting here like homeless people for a week now. Imran Khan had claimed many times that no one would be missing in Pakistan. The government, the courts and the commissions say they are trying to find their residents. They don't want roads, gas, electricity, they only want our loved ones. “For at last 12 years, our lives have been miserable finding our close kin.”
It may be recalled that the families of Baloch missing persons had marched to D-Chowk in Islamabad and are holding sit-in for last seven days.
