Tank: Explosion leaves girls' school partially damaged
Tank: An explosive device planted along the boundary wall of a girls school in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa's Tank district went off on Wednesday, police said.
The explosion left the under-construction building partially damaged, police and BDS said. However no loss of life or injury was reported in the blast.
As a result of the timed blast, the walls of the school were damaged while a classroom was completely destroyed, they added.
Heavy contingent of police surrounded the area and began a search operation to apprehend those responsible for the explosion.
Bomb Disposal Squad officials saud five to seven kilograms of explosive material were used in the blast.
