Gilgit: Young Pakistani mountaineer Shehroz Kashif has added another feather to his cap, summiting world’s 8th tallest mountain Manaslu peak which is about 8,163-meter (2,678 feet).

Shehroze Kashif along with 10 international climbers successfully scaled the Manaslu Peak in Nepal on Saturday morning.

Hailing from Lahore, Kahisf was a part of the Seven Summit Treks Manaslu Expedition 2021.

As per expedition organisers, this was first international team of the season to climb the Manalsu Peak.

The team including, Shehroze Kashif (Pakistan), Martin Pollet (France), Dorota Lidia (Poland) and Eight Sherpas (Nepal) reached the top of the mountain at 6.25am on Saturday and arrived back at the base camp the same day.

The Pakistani mountaineer, started climbing at the age of 11, first scaling 3,000 meters peaks.

Taking his passion to the next stage, he reached 4,000 meters and then 6,000, 8,000 and over 8,000 meters.

At the age of 19, Kashif scaled Mount Everest (8,849m) and K2 (8,611m). His scaling of Broad Peak (8,047m) had earned him the title of ‘The Broad Boy’.

Earlier in May, Shehroz had conquered the world’s highest peak Mount Everest and in the process set a world record of the youngest Pakistani to do so.

He had dedicated his achievement to Ali Sadpara, Pakistan’s most loved mountaineer who went missing along with two others while attempting to scale the world's second-highest mountain K2. Their bodies were later found on July 26.
