Lahore: In the worst negligence incident of the security branch at Lahore High Court (LHC), a lawyer reached the copy branch with a bamboo stick and smashed its windowpanes.
As per details, the advocate identified as Majid Jahangir lost his control after being denied access to a verified copy of a case, he was fighting.
Being furious over the delay in getting the copy, the lawyer got into a heated argument with the employees.
Majid reached the copy branch along a stick but no policeman bothered to stop him, said sources.
As per sources, the cops remained silent spectators in the security room until situation exacerbated.
In the surfaced video, the lawyer can be seen losing his temper and holding a stick while threatening the security guards to back-off. The legal representative then smashed all the glasses fixed above the public counters.
To handle the absurd situation inside court premises, the staff of newly constructed copy branch informed police.
Police, however, detained the attorney and shifted him to police station for further investigation.
In addition a case has been registered against him under the Anti-terrorism Act and the bar council also suspended his license.
