Lahore: Amid a steady decline in Covid-19 infections, the Punjab government has decided to resume normal and regular classes at all private and public schools across the province, starting October 11.

The Education Minister Punjab Murad Raas on his official twitter handle wrote, “All Public & Private Schools of Punjab to start their regular/standard calendar classes on Monday October 11th, 2021”. 

“No more staggered approach. Welcome back to the previous routine,” he added. 

Murad Raas further urged everyone to follow coronavirus related Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

“Please follow SOPs issued by the Government,” said provincial minister.

Previously, all educational institutions were operating on 50% capacity across the country after being reopened following intermittent closures due to the prevalence of Covid-19.

Meanwhile, according to National Command and Operations Center (NCOC), around 912 cases of coronavirus were reported while 26 people succumbed to the disease in the last 24 hours, taking the total death toll to 28,032.

Pakistan's coronavirus positivity ratio further fell to 1.99%.

The total number of cases has reached 28,058. As many as 1,184,527 patients have recovered from the disease with 2,763 critical cases.
