Dengue Virus: Capital reports 146 new cases and 1 death
Islamabad: The federal capital (Islamabad) has reported new 146 dengue cases in the past 24-hours period and one man died on Sunday.
According to details, the new cases today have taken the infection tally of the federal capital to 2,867 since the outbreak of its virality this season, the health department report on the deadly virus.
So far the mosquito-borne virus has killed 11 people infected with it, the report said.
The new cases have emerged today, at least 48 come from the rural region of Islamabad while 98 of them were reported in the urban areas.
Symptoms:
- Mild symptoms of dengue can be confused with other illnesses that cause fever, aches, and pains, or a rash.
- The most common symptom of dengue is fever with any of the following:
- Nausea, vomiting
- Rash
- Aches and pains (eye pain, typically behind the eyes, muscle, joint, or bone pain)
- Any warning sign
- Symptoms of dengue typically last 2–7 days. Most people will recover after about a week.
