TLP chief Saad Hussain Rizvi released from jail after 7 months
Saad Hussain Rizvi was taken arrested on charges of inciting violence
Lahore: Tehreek-i-Labbaik Pakistan (TLP) chief Hafiz Saad Hussain Rizvi was released from Kot Lakhpat jail in Lahore on Thursday.
According to details, TLP chief Hafiz Saad Hussain Rizvi released from jail after being held for about seven months.
The TLP chief's release was also confirmed by Kot Lakhpat Jail superintendent Ijaz Asghar.
On April 12 this year, he was detained under the Maintenance of Public Order rules. He was taken into custody on charges of inciting violence.
Last week, the Punjab government had Saad Hussain Rizvi's name from the Fourth Schedule — a list of proscribed individuals who are suspected of terrorism or sectarianism under the Anti-Terrorism Act (ATA), 1997.
