Karachi: Lahore Qalandars beat former PSL champions Quetta Gladiators in the fourth fixture of the Pakistan Super League's (PSL) sixth edition.

Winning the toss, Qalandars opted to bowl first against Gladiators. While bowling first, Qalandars picked-up 2 early wickets. Chris Gayle was dropped twice after he made them pay for it, smashing 68 runs from 40 balls. Gayle with Sarfaraz Ahmed put on 101 runs with for the 3rd wicket partnership whereas Muhammad Nawaz played a cameo of 33 runs putting a massive total of 179 runs.
From Lahore Qalandars, Haris Rauf picked up 3 wickets at cost of 38 runs.
Lahore in response of Quetta’s massive 178 runs target got off to a good start with the opening stand of 64 runs. Muhammad Hafeez appeared as a star for Qalandars as he smashed 6 sixes in his 73* runs from 33 balls with Fakhar Zaman with his outstanding 82* runs from 52 balls.
The duo made light work of the chase to win the match by 9 wickets.

This is Lahore's 4th win in a row over Quetta as both the teams have faced each other 11 times.
Earlier, Qalandars started their PSL campaign with a 4-wicket win against Peshawar Zalmi while Quetta went down against Karachi Kings in the tournament's opener.
