Fawad tells PML-N option of re-voting in 23 polling stations is open
Islamabad: Federal Minister for Science and Technology, Fawad Chaudhry has said option of re-voting in 23 polling stations of NA-75 Daska is open if Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) has any objection, they can go for re-election in those 23 ‘doubtful’ polling stations.
While talking to media in Islamabad alongside other leaders of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI), Fawad said that PML-N keeps on changing its stance.
“Legally, the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) is not legally authorized to withhold results and is not authorized to withhold results. We are moving towards electoral reforms to avoid controversial incidents and for that we are introducing electronic voting system,” he said.
The federal minister further stated that Prime Minister Imran Khan has always supported free and transparent elections in the country.
“Imran Khan was the one who introduced the concept of neutral empire in cricket,” he added.
Fawad Chaudhry said that PTI has strengthened the state institutions since the beginning.
Also speaking on occasion, PTI leader Usman Dar said that people of Daska voted for PTI and PML-N is changing its narrative as always.
“We have full confidence in election commission and we will submit more important things to the electoral body,” he said.
