Top-scoring Abid Ali made 133 for Pakistan

Chittagong: Bangladesh’s spinner Taijul Islam claimed his ninth five-wicket haul to put his country on top in the first Test against Pakistan on Sunday despite Abid Ali´s century.
The hosts bowled out Pakistan for 286 on the stroke of tea on the third day to take a 44-run lead into the second innings thanks to the mesmerizing bowling of Taijul, who finished with 7-116.
Top-scoring Abid Ali made 133 for Pakistan but the tourists lost all 10 wickets before tea after resuming the play on the third day with 145-0.
Bangladesh took firm control of the first Test in Chattogram in the middle session, following up on their brilliant morning to bowl the visitors out for 286.
Lunch didn’t appear to have impacted Taijul Islam’s sharpness, the left-arm spinner adding a further four wickets to make it a seven-wicket haul in an almost single-handed crusade against the Pakistan line-up.
