Lahore: The price of broiler meat is expected to reach Rs. 400 per kg as the holy month of Ramadan comes nearer.

As per details, Pakistan Poultry Association (PPA) attributed the steep rise in price of meat to hot weather and high feed prices.
High prices have resulted in less domestic consumption of the poultry meat as it had negative impact on the buying capacity of a common consumer.
However, a slight increase in demand for poultry during the summer will push prices up.
Moreover, the prices of daily use items have observed an upward trend as profiteers have become active to gain maximum profits during the month and the prices of essential commodities have already gone up to sky high.
Besides vegetables and fruits, all the basic commodities have witnessed an increase in prices, burdening the inflation-hit nation.
