PML-N’s Attaullah Tarar, others booked for attack on PPP candidate house in Khanewal
FIR states Attaullah Tarar, Chaudhry Waheed and others while carrying weapons entered into PPP candidate’s house


Khanewal: Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N) deputy secretary general Attaullah Tarar among other leaders have been booked for attack on Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) camp office and party’s candidate house in Khanewal.
According to the details garnered, a first information report (FIR) has been lodged against the PML-N leaders in allegation of attacking camp office and house of the PPP candidate.
Police lodged an FIR on complaint of Syed Mir Wasiq – PPP candidate in Khanewal PP-206 by-polls – against more than 50 including PML-N leaders Attaullah Tarar, Chaudhary Waheed and Abdul Ghaffar Dogar for attack on his house.
An FIR has been lodged with the police regarding the incident.
According to the FIR, the plaintiff stated that the PML-N leaders Attaullah Tarar, Chaudhry Waheed, Abdul Ghaffar Dogar, Saad and other accused while carrying weapons entered into the house after breaking down the door. “The PML-N attackers violated the sanctity of the four-walls and raised slogans. They also dragged the women by the hair and threatened to kill the PPP workers for not closing the election office.
In the FIR, he plaintiff pleaded that the police should arrest the accused involved in the attack and punish them.
A day earlier as per local media reports, PML-N activists attacked the home of PPP candidate in PP-206 Wasiq ahead of the conclusion of electioneering in the constituency. The reports said that the PML-N activists attacked the home of Mir Wasiq Tirmizi and broke down the entrance gate of his residence. However, no injuries were reported to the PPP candidate and others in the incident.
The PPP has demanded of the election commission to take notice of the incident and ensure the arrest of suspects allegedly involved in the act.
