UHS issues first selection list for MBBS and BDS; merit down by 2 percent

Lahore: The University of Health Sciences (UHS) on Wednesday issued the first selection list for admissions into government medical and dental colleges of Punjab. The UHS has issued separate lists for MBBS and BDS on its website. 
 
Acccording to a press release, the UHS spokesperson said the closing merit for Open Merit MBBS is 90.1270 and for BDS  90.0459 pc. Last year, it was 91.8182 for MBBS and 91.7273 for BDS.

There are 3047 MBBS seats on open merit basis in 16 government medical colleges and 189 BDS seats in 3 dental colleges of the province. As always, King Edward Medical College Lahore remains the top choice of candidates with merit closing at 92.6225 pc.  

The lowest merit in MBBS is 90.12 pc for DG Khan Medical College Dera Ghazi Khan. Closing merit for medical colleges of Lahore is 91.1216 per cent.

Last merit of Allama Iqbal Medical College Lahore is 91.9017 pc, Services Institute of Medical Sciences Lahore 91.4701 , Ameer ud Din Medical College Lahore 91.1216, Nishtar Medical College Multan 91.0446, Rawalpindi Medical College Rawalpindi 90.6528,  Fatima Jinnah Medical University Lahore 90.6476, Punjab Medical College Faisalabad 90.5584, Gujranwala Medical College Gujranwala 90.3792, Quaid-e-Azam Medical College Bahawalpur 90.3255, Khawaja Muhammad Safdar Medical College Sialkot 90.2537,  Sahiwal Medical College Sahiwal 90.2385, Sargodha Medical College Sargodha 90.1693, Nawaz Sharif Medical College Gujrat 90.1506 and closing merit for Sheikh Zayed Medical College Rahim Yar Khan is 90.1351 per cent.

For BDS, the closing merit for de'Montmorency College of Dentistry Lahore is 90.0641, Nishtar Institute of Dentistry Multan 90.0580 while that for Dental Section Punjab Medical College Faisalabad is 90.1270 pc.

The last date for submission of fee and other dues by the selected candidates is December 22 for MBBS and December 28 for BDS.
