COAS, Czech ambassador discuss mutual interest, regional security including Afghanistan's situation
'Pakistan is hopeful for the expansion of multilateral relations based on common interests'


Rawalpindi: Ambassador of the Republic of Czech to Pakistan H.E Tomas Smetanka called on Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa at GHQ, today.
According to Pakistan Army Public Relations (ISPR), the Ambassador of the Czech Republic called on Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa.
During the meeting, matters of mutual interest, regional security, and current situation in Afghanistan were discussed. The meeting also discussed mutual cooperation in the provision of humanitarian aid to Afghanistan.
According to ISPR, COAS said that Pakistan values its relations with European Union (EU) countries. "Pakistan is hopeful for the expansion of multilateral relations based on common interests", the army chief added.
The Ambassador of the Czech Republic appreciated Pakistan's role in the Afghan situation. The visiting dignitary praised Pakistan's efforts for peace and stability in the region.
The Ambassador of the Czech Republic reiterated his commitment to play a role in enhancing diplomatic cooperation with Pakistan at all levels.
