Fawad Chaudhry strongly condemns attack on Shibli Faraz
Thankfully, Shibli Faraz remained safe but unfortunately the driver is seriously injured, says information minister
Islamabad: Minister for Information and Broadcasting Fawad Chaudhry has strongly condemned firing attack on Minister for Science Shibli Faraz on Sunday.
The minister tweeted moments after the news broke, saying that Faraz had been attacked by gunmen at Darra Adam Khel.
"Thankfully, he remained safe but unfortunately the driver is seriously injured and has been transported to the hospital. We strongly condemn this incident," he tweeted.

Earlier, Shibli Faraz was attacked by some unidentified persons at Darra Adamkhel on Sunday.
According to the sources, Shibli Faraz miraculously survived in gun attack. However, the minister’s guard and driver were injured in the firing. Local police reached at the spot after getting information about the incident.
Sources also said that the windows of the vehicle were broken and the driver was injured due to the the firing. Federal Minister Shibli Faraz was attacked when returning to Peshawar from his native Kohat.
Talking to GNN, Federal Minister Shibli Faraz said, “Alhamdulillah I am safe but my driver is injured and has been shifted to Peshawar for treatment.”
