Territory of Afghanistan will not be used against anyone, assures Mawlawi Amir Muttaqi
Interim Afghan FM says we have good relations with all Muslim and other friendly countries as well as best relations with Pakistan
Islamabad: Afghan interim Foreign Minister (FM) Mawlawi Amir Khan Muttaqi has assured that the entire world and specifically Islamic countries that the territory of Afghanistan will not be used against anyone.
Speaking to the journalists after OIC session in Islamabad, Mawlawi Amir Khan Muttaqi said that Afghanistan shall work in tandem to combat the cultivation and trafficking of narcotics.
He said that there is complete peace in Afghanistan now, there is only one government in all of Afghanistan within 40 years. “Corruption and strongmen have been restrained, administrative corruption, usurpation, personal use of national resources and islands of power have been eliminated. Afghanistan, following many decades, finally has a government that is united and controls all territory.”
The new government exercising control over the entire country – that has secured its geography and territorial integrity, established security, does not pose a threat to any world country and as a ruling system – reserves the right to have formal relations with the world and be a responsible member of the wider international community.
Mullah Amir Muttaqi said that their people are with them and they can control the whole Afghanistan with their help. “We have also proved that there were forces of 50 countries including US and NATO, but there is no peace in Afghanistan. Yes, we made peace without these weapons, forces and dollars, it is proof that our people are with us.”
The Afghan caretaker foreign minister said that our politics today is a balanced politics, we have good relations with all Muslim and other friendly countries. “We have best relations with Pakistan and we want to protect our interests. There is no more ground war in Afghanistan, people are happy due to peace at the moment in the country.”
