Quetta: A 4.8-magnitude earthquake jolted Quetta and surrounding area on Saturday, however, no loss of property and life was reported.
Earthquake tremors were also felt in Khanozai, Pishin, Bostan and surrounding areas.
According to the National Seismic Monitoring Centre, Islamabad, the magnitude of the earthquake was 4.2 on the Richter scale. The epicenter was reported 40 kilometers northwest from Kalat.
Meanwhile, the area residents, following the tremors, panicked and came out of their residences.
According to initial reports, no casualties have been reported so far in the earthquake.
