Islamabad: Senior journalist Imran Yaqub Khan has said that Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan has decided to make Pervez Khattak as Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) chief minister (CM).
While talking in GNN program “View Point” on Saturday, Imran Yaqub Khan said that Imran Khan decided to take major steps after embarrassing defeat in KP local government elections.
“PM Imran Khan will not keep silent on defeat of the PTI in KP LG polls. The strict action will be taken against those responsible for this defeat. He also decided to replace Chief Minister Mahmood Khan with Pervez Khattak,” the senior journalist said quoting privy sources.
He further maintained that the resignation of Muhammad Ibrahim Khan Khattak, son of Pervez Khattak, will be taken from provincial assembly and his father will contest on this seat. “After electing MPA, Pervez Khattak to be made KP CM,” he added.
“The prime minister also decides that the strict action will also be taken against the federal and provincial ministers who helped to allot the tickets to their relatives but failed to make them successful in the LB polls, including Ali Amin Gandapur,” Imran Yaqub Khan mentioned as per his privy sources.
