Prices of so many items are expected to go through the roof


Islamabad: Government is going to present mini-budget in the National Assembly session today.
According to details, Speaker Asad Qaiser will chair the session of the National Assembly today at 4:00 pm in Parliament House, Islamabad.
Finance Minister Shaukat Tarin will present Finance Supplementary Bill (Mini-Budget) in NA session, while a bill giving autonomy to the State Bank of Pakistan will also be presented in the session.
With the passage of mini-budget, prices of so many items including mobile phones, stationery, packaged food items, makeup articles are expected to go through the roof.
Extra taxes will also be slapped on luxury items and imported vehicles. The government will slash development budget amounting to Rs200 billion.
Meanwhile, Prime Minister Imran Khan has called a meeting of the parliamentary leaders of allies today to discuss the mini-budget on which they will be taken on board.
Khalid Maqbool and Aminul Haq will represent the Mutahidda Quomi Movement.
The Pakistan Muslim League (Quaid) has also assured the PTI government of their support.
