Senate polls: Opposition decides to unanimously field 5 candidates
Peshawar: Opposition's line-up for the Senate elections has been completed and the opposition has collectively decided to field five candidates for the upcoming Senate elections.
According to details, opposition parties in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa have finalised the names of candidates for the Senate elections.
Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz’s Abbas Afridi will be the unanimous candidate of the opposition for the general seat while Hidayatullah of Awami National Party and Atta-ur-Rehman of Jamiat Ulema-e Islam Pakistan will be candidate for the general seat.
The opposition has announced the name of Inayat Begum of Jamaat-e-Islami for the women's seat while Farhatullah Babar of Pakistan Peoples Party is the agreed candidate of the opposition for the Technocrat seat.
