Karachi: The price of gold witnessed an increase of Rs100 on Monday.

According to the All Sindh Sarrafa and Jewelers Association, the gold price in Pakistan recorded an increase of Rs100 per tola as it settled at Rs126,300 in the local market.

Meanwhile, the price of the 24k-gold slide by $5 per ounce in the international market on Monday. It is now selling for $1,825.

In the past three days, the precious metal has oscillated by Rs100 or Rs200 per tola. While in the global markets gold has seen sharp fluctuation.

Earlier on Wednesday, the price of 24 karat per tola gold witnessed a decrease of Rs200. 

According to the All Sindh Sarrafa and Jewellers Association, gold price in Pakistan has been decreased by Rs200 per tola as the bullion price settled at Rs126,000 in the local market.

The price of 10 gram 24 karat gold also depreciated by Rs171 to Rs108,025 from Rs108,196 whereas that of and 10 gram 22 karat went down to Rs99,023 from Rs99,180.

In the international market, the price of precious metal slumped by $21. An ounce of 24-k gold is now selling at $1,796.

The price of per tola and 10 gram silver remained constant at Rs1460 and Rs1251.71 respectively.

It reached an all-time high of $2,074 an ounce in August 2020 and a five-month high of $1,874 per ounce on November 16. Gold jumped to the record high of Rs132,000 per tola on October 26 in Pakistan.

On Dec 10, the Sindh Jewellers Association announced an Rs50 decrease in the gold prices took the per tola price to Rs126,100.

According to the reports, the price of yellow metal receded by Rs50 per tola and Rs43 per 10-gram to settle at Rs126,100 and Rs108,110.

Meanwhile, silver prices in the domestic market remained unchanged at Rs1,460 per tola and Rs1,251.71 per 10 grams.
