IHC Chief Justice Athar Minallah ordered capital authorities to seal off Monal Restaurant


Islamabad: The assistant commissioner (AC) has sealed the Monal Restaurant, located at top of the Margalla Hills in Islamabad, on the orders of Islamabad High Court (IHC).
According to details, Capital Development Authority (CDA) and district administration have sealed Monal Restaurant. Monal was sealed on the order of the IHC. Capt (retd) Ali Asghar, directorate of Municipal Administration's (DMA) director and Assistant Commissioner City Rana Musa Tahir were present on the occasion. ۔
While hearing a case related to encroachments in the national park, IHC Chief Justice Athar Minallah ordered capital authorities to seal off Monal Restaurant and take control of the Margalla Greens Golf Club built on encroached land.
The chief justices issued the order to Islamabad Capital Territory Chief Commissioner Amer Ali Ahmed. "This court will protect the wider public interest," the judge said. "Seal Monal if its lease has ended," Justice Minallah added.
Following the judge's directives, CDA officials went to the restaurant to seal it.
