Bailable warrant issued against Kangana Ranaut on Javed Akhtar’s defamation complaint
Mumbai: A Mumbai court on Monday has issued a bailable warrant against Indian actress Kangana Ranaut after she failed to appear before it in connection with a defamation complaint filed against her by lyricist, Javed Akhtar.

As per details, the Andheri metropolitan magistrate's court issued a notice to Kangna on February 01, directing her to appear before court on March 01. However, she failed to appear today following which the court issued a bail-able warrant against her.
The next hearing will take place on March 26.
Earlier in February, the police submitted a report saying an offence of defamation was made out against the actoress.
Akhtar had filed a criminal defamation complaint against Ranaut on November 03, for allegedly making baseless and false statements against him on national television which, according to him, damaged his reputation.
