Islamabad: The Finance Minister of Pakistan Shaukat Fayyaz Ahmed Tarin has contracted novel coronavirus Wednesday, GNN reported.
Earlier in the day Gilgit Baltistan Chief Minister Khalid Khurshid has tested positive for COVID-19.
According to GB CM spokesperson, Khalid Khurshid has quarantined himself at Gilgit Baltistan House, Islamabad after testing positive for the virus. "He has some mild symptoms but he is better now", the spokesperson added.
Khalid Khursheed appealed that people make sure to wear masks, follow SOPs and get vaccinated.
On the other hand, Opposition leader Shehbaz Sharif contracted Covid-19 for the second time. Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) spokesperson Marriyum Aurangzeb confirmed the news.
PML-N leader Attaullah Tarar said that Opposition Leader of National Assembly Shehbaz Sharif has quarantined himself at his residence after testing positive for the virus.
