The 20-year-old apparently developed fear of swing's height


Gujranwala: A 20-year-old girl died after falling from a swing at Gulshan Iqbal Park in Gujranwala, rescuers and police said.
Along with her family Aqsa came to the park and rided a swing. She went unconsious after falling from height as she apparently developed fear of swing's height.
Rescuers were called to the spot. The girl was pronounced dead at the scene after several attempts of getting her breath restored. Her body was shifted to the DHQ Hospital.
Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar took notice of the incident and sought report from Gujranwala Commissioner about the incident.
He ordered the commissioner to first identify those responsible for mishap.
Case against swing operator
Later, Dhallay police registered a case against swing operator and others on the complaint of Aqsa's father who complianed that his daughter died due to negliegnce of swing operator who failed to control swing in time.
Inquiry committee constituted
The Gujranwala Deputy Commissioner constituted an inquity committed led by the Assistant Commissioner City to fix the responsibility. The park was also closed for public till the outcome of the inquiry.
