In response to the leaked video, Ali Haider Gillani said he is the son of a Senate candidate and has the right to strive for votes. He further said that ‘Yousuf Raza Gilani has no moral justification to contest elections. He should be disqualified immediately.’
After the video surfaced, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister Shahbaz Gul told a press conference that the ‘Election Commission should take action after the video of Yousuf Raza Gilani's son buying votes became public.’
Ali Haider Gillani's video went viral on Tuesday evening, on which government leaders said he was allegedly telling government MNAs how to lose votes.
Federal Minister Asad Omar also criticized, saying that the opposition is buying members' votes. On the one hand, PTI members in Sindh are being pressured to cast votes in oppositions’ favour whereas in Punjab, Yousuf Raza Gilani's son is telling government members how to buy votes and scrap the votes.
