Heavy snowfall blocks major roads in Azad Kashmir
On the other hand, the second spell of snow in Murree, Galiyat and other areas has stopped but the cold intensified
Muzaffarabad: Heavy snowfall in hilly areas has blocked major roads in Azad Kashmir cutting six districts from capital Muzaffarabad and other towns including Neelum Valley, Leepa Valley and Haveeli.
According to details, roads have been blocked in the six districts of Azad Kashmir due to heavy snowfall and rain showers.
Link roads are closed in Azad Kashmir's Neelum Valley, Lepa Karnah and other areas after snowfall.
According to the Meteorological Department, rain and snowfall is likely to stop in some areas of Muzaffarabad by the end of the day. However, rain and snowfall will continue in Neelum Valley.
On the other hand, the second spell of snow in Murree, Galiyat and other areas has stopped but the cold intensified.
Connecting road has been blocked from Donga Gali to Koza Gali for all sorts of traffic due to heavy snowfall and the Abbottabad district administration also directed the tourists to avoid traveling in Galyat keeping in view the severe weather conditions.
During the last three days, Galyat has received more than 4 feet of snowfall, which has once again blocked all roads particularly connecting roads of dozens of villages in the region and the residents of the area have been trapped in their houses.
