A van turned side down in Layyah while a bus knocked down a motorcycle in Lodhran
Layyah: Two people including a woman lost their lives and eight others suffered multiple injuries after a speeding passenger van turned side down at Bharli Adda of Layyah, police and rescuers said.
The incident happened after one of van's tyres burst and driver lost control over steering.
The deceased were identified as Akram and Sidra. The injured were transported to Chobara teshil headquarters hospital.
In another incident three motorcylcists were killed after a speeding bus hit them while overtkaing another bus near Khanewal Bypass in Lodhran.
The couple and their niece lost their lives. A woman injured in the incident was shifted to a nearby hospital.
Lodhran Saddar police impounded the bus and booked the driver in a case.
