Brigadier (r) Musaddiq Abbasi appointed as SAPM on Accountability
Musaddiq Abbasi had performed duties on top positions of National Accountability Bureau
Islamabad: After the resignation of Shahzad Akbar, Brigadier (Retd) Musaddiq Abbasi has been appointed as the special assistant to prime minister (SAPM) on accountability.
A notification has also been issued in this regard. The notification was issued after the approval of Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan.
Musaddiq Abbasi replaced Shahzad Akbar, who tendered his resignation.
It is pertinent to mention here that Brigadier (Retd) Muhammad Musaddiq Abbasi had performed duties on top positions of the National Accountability Bureau (NAB).
Earlier on Monday, SAPM on Accountability Shahzad Akbar has resigned from his post.
Taking to twitter, the adviser said that he had resigned from his post but he would still remain associated with the PTI. He also said that he had tendered his resignation to Prime Minister Imran Khan.
"I have tendered my resignation today to PM as Advisor. I sincerely hope the process of accountability continues under leadership of PM Imran Khan as per PTI’s manifesto. I will remain associated with party n keep contributing as member of legal fraternity,” Shahzad Akbar tweeted.
