Sindh to initiate door-to-door Corona vaccination from February 1
Provincial government plans to vaccinate more than 18.4 million people over the age of 12
Karachi: The Sindh government will initiate a door-to-door campaign from February 1 to vaccinate people against the coronavirus (COVID-19.
Sindh’s Health Minister Dr Azra Pechuho will inaugurate the campaign in which more than 18.4 million people over the age of 12 will be vaccinated.
According to the provincial health department, 37 per cent of the population has been vaccinated. More than 10.3m persons have received both doses, while around 10.80m have got one jab.
According the Sindh Expanded Program on Immunization (EPI) head Dr Irshad Memon, the campaign has been initiated to vaccinate more people at a rapid pace. Sindh health department, Sindh EPI, National EPI and Sindh government have collaborated for this campaign.
Dr Memon estimates that 12,748,123 citizens will receive the first dose, while 5,712,014 will get the second dose.
