Lahore Qalandars set 199-run total for the loss of four wickets in 20 overs


Karachi: Lahore Qalandars thrashed Peshawar Zalmi by 28 runs in match number nine of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2022 at the National Stadium Karachi on Wednesday.
Earlier, Lahore Qalandars set 199-run total for the loss of four wickets in 20 overs. Fakhar Zaman's secured 66 off 38 balls and late hitting from Mohammad Hafeez and Rashid Khan.
Zaman continued his rich form as he forged a 94-run opening stand with Abdullah Shafique, who scored 41 runs.
Other batters also contributed with small cameos; Kamran Ghulam scored 30, Hafeez 37, and Rashid Khan 22.
Hussain Talat was the most economical bowler with the figure of 1-19 in three overs. Salman Irshad took two wickets but went for 47 runs in four overs, and Wahab gave 33 runs in four overs without taking a wicket.
Peshawar Zalmi won the toss and elected to bowl first against Lahore Qalandars in their third match of the ongoing seventh edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) at the National Cricket Stadium Karachi.
