Weather likely to remain hot, dry in most parts of country

Islamabad: The Meteorological Department stated that the weather will remain hot and dry in most parts of the country during the next 24 hours.

According to the report, the weather will be very hot in the central and southern regions of the country. There is a possibility of gusty, dusty winds, rain may occur in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, North Central Balochistan, Upper Punjab in the evening or night.

According to the Meteorological Department, it is expected to remain partly cloudy in Islamabad, Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir. There is a chance of rain with thunder and lightning at few places. Hailstorm is also expected at a few places in Lower Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pothohar region and Islamabad.

The temperature is expected to be 38 to 41 degrees Celsius in Islamabad on Saturday. 31 to 33 degrees Celsius in Quetta, 40 to 42 degrees Celsius in Turbat, 44 to 46 degrees Celsius in Sibbi and 25 to 27 degrees Celsius in Murree.

While, the temperature is expected to be 45 to 47 degrees in Dera Ghazi Khan and Sukkur, 37 to 39 in Rawalpindi and 43 to 45 in Sahiwal, 38 to 40 in Karachi, 46 to 48 in Mohenjodaro and Dadu.

According to the report, the temperature in Nawabshah is expected to be 45 to 47, Peshawar 38 to 40 degrees Celsius and Gilgit 33 to 35. While in Hunza 26 to 28, Muzaffarabad 38 to 40 and Srinagar 28 to 30 degrees Celsius.

Lahore: The meeting of the Central Working Committee of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) will be held today (Saturday).

The meeting will be organized at 2:00pm at the party secretariat in Model Town, in which Mian Nawaz Sharif will be nominated as acting president.

According to party officials, senior members of the party will present a resolution to appoint Nawaz Sharif the acting president of the party as a proposal and supporter.

The general council meeting will be held on May 28, in which the election commission members will be nominated for the election of the new party president and the election schedule will also be released.

Arson case: Gandapur's interim bail extended till May 28

Rawalpindi: District and Sessions Court Rawalpindi Saturday extended the interim bail of Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Ali Amin Gandapur till May 28.

According to the details, the interim bail plea of Ali Amin Gandapur in the case of arson and interference in the government property was heard in the Additional District and Sessions court. Advocate Muhammad Faisal Malik appeared on behalf of the Chief Minister.

During the hearing, a request was made for exemption from the attendence of Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, which was approved by the court.

Exemption from attendance was requested due to engagement in government affairs.

Later, the Additional District and Sessions Judge extended the interim bail of Ali Amin Gandapur till May 28.

It is pertinent to note that a case has been registered against Ali Amin Gandapur in Nasirabad police station.
