Govt to form special protection force for foreigners’ security

Islamabad: It has been decided to create a special protection force for the security of foreign nationals in Islamabad.

Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi said that special attention should be paid to the security of all the important offices and places including the Red Zone.

The Home Minister ordered to ensure 100% registration of First Information Reports (FIR) saying that non-registration or delay in registration of FIR is not acceptable, action will be taken against the concerned police officer for non-registration of FIR.

Mohsin Naqvi also ordered to deal with the promotion cases of Islamabad Police immediately and stated that promotion is the right of an employee which should be given on time. It will improve the morale of the police force.

Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi directed the recruitment of all vacant posts in Islamabad Police, adding, ‘Steps will be taken to make the salaries of Islamabad Police equal to that of Punjab Police’.

Apart from this, a comprehensive plan was called for to solve the traffic problems in Islamabad and it was directed to identify the most congested places and suggest workable solutions.

Mohsin Naqvi continued that the system of Islamabad Safe City should be equipped with modern requirements like Lahore Safe City.

ATC extends bail of PTI leaders in vandalism case

Islamabad: The anti-terrorism court (ATC) has extended the bail of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) leaders Faisal Javed and Aamir Mughal in case of vandalism till May 6.

According to the details, judge Tahir Abbas Sipra heard the case on plea of pre-arrest bail. The applicant Faisal Javed and Aamir Mughal appeared before the court along with their lawyers.

During the hearing, judge Tahir Sipra stated that all the pleas will be heard together. Today (Saturday) the prosecutors are not available.

Applicant’s lawyer said that the challan has submitted in court in this case so the proceedings can be move forward. The court issued notice of arrest warrant against those who are not appearing in the court.

The judge remarked that complete the attendance today and receive the copies. The one who will not be appearing before the court his arrest warrant will be issued. Aamir Mehmood Kiyani did not appear in the court so let’s issue his arrest warrant.

Faisal Javed pleaded from the court to give him a long date in the extension of bail because he is coming from Peshawar amid his case and his attendance is regular.

Court asked from Faisal Javed that you are not living in Islamabad these days and the weather of going Peshawar is not good today.

He replied that today he is in Islamabad and he only comes on weekend to Islamabad.

Later then the court completed the attendance and fixed May 17 to divide copies.

KP CM says, PDM-2 experiment will improve Sharif family's economy

Islamabad: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur said that the experiment of PDM-2 will only improve the economy of the Sharif family, not the country.

The Audio Leaks case was heard against Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur in the District and Sessions Courts of Islamabad.

The Chief Minister appeared in the court after which the Additional Session Judge Abdul Ghafoor Kakar allowed him to leave after attendance.

According to the lawyer, the indictment was to be filed today, but the court postponed the indictment till May 25.

It is pertinent to note that a case has been registered against Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in Golra police station.

Speaking to the media outside the court, Gandapur said that the PDM-2 experiment will not be successful, the Sharif family's economy will recover, but Pakistan's economy will not recover.

Meanwhile, the journalist asked, it is said that there is a difference between Mohsin Naqvi and Shehbaz Sharif. In response to which he replied, ask Mohsin Naqvi and Shehbaz Sharif whether they have a disagreement or not.
