Court postpones hearing on plea against Maryam Nawaz

Lahore: The session court Lahore has postponed the hearing without proceeding on plea to register case against chief minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz on wearing police uniform.

According to the details, the additional session judge Muzaffar Nawaz Malik was on a leave today (Monday) that is why the hearing delayed till April 30.

The court summoned the report of front desk from the applicant.

It should be noted that the applicant stated in the plea that Maryam Nawaz had done violation of rules by wearing the uniform of Punjab police so the court order to register case against her.

Kisan board Punjab’s head apprehended

Lahore: The farmers have announced to protest due to the delay in buying of wheat.

In accordance with the Kisan board of Pakistan, Kisan board Punjab’s head Mian Abd-ul-Rasheed was apprehended from Lahore.  

The Kisan board Pakistan stated that the raid is going on the houses of other leaders. The arrests are going on for stopping the protest.

It should be noted that earlier chairman Kisan Etihad Haseeb Anwar had demanded that the government should be making sure the buying of wheat on fixed price.

100 index crosses threshold of 73,000 points in PSX

The Pakistan Stock Market saw an increase of 522 points with the 100 index trading at a level of 73,265 points.

Karachi: Investors' confidence started to recover as Pakistan stock market reached the highest level in the country's history.

On the first day of the business week, the 100 index crossed the 73,000 points mark in the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX).

The Pakistan Stock Market saw an increase of 522 points with the 100 index trading at a level of 73,265 points.

It is pertinent to note that the stock market increased by 771 points on the last day of the last business week after which the 100 index closed at an all-time high of 72,742 points.

On the other hand, the trend of increasing the value of the dollar in interbank continues.

The US currency rose by Rs0.12 on the first day of the business week, with the dollar trading at Rs278.50 at the interbank level.
