Islamabad: The district and session court has reserved verdict on release plea of former finance minister Asad Umar in May 9 case.

According to the details, judge Shabbir Bhatti heard the case. Asad Umar along with his lawyer Sardar Masroof and Amna Ali appeared before the court.

Lawyer Amna Ali stated that the allegation is to the extent of applicant. There is no proof present in challan. The arguments have done on release plea to the extent of Asad Umar.

Judge Shabbir Bhatti said that he will give the order on the plea of release to the extent of Asad Umar.

Later then the court reserved the verdict on release plea of Asad Umar.

Parents to face prison time for polio vaccine refusal

The Deputy Commissioner of Hyderabad said that it is mandatory to give polio drops to children.

Hyderabad: The government of Sindh has announced to impose fines and punishments on parents for refusing to administer polio vaccine to children in Hyderabad.

According to the notification, parents who refuse to administer polio drops to their children will face one-month imprisonment and a penalty of Rs50,000.

The Deputy Commissioner of Hyderabad said that it is mandatory to give polio drops to children.

It is pertinent to note that earlier on Monday, the national anti-polio campaign has started across the country which is being conducted in four provinces including Islamabad.

During the campaign, more than 20.442 million children will be vaccinated against polio.
